Kaimur District Rocked by Two Separate Sexual Violence Incidents
The Kaimur district of Bihar was shaken on Tuesday by two deeply disturbing and separate incidents of sexual violence that have sent shockwaves through the community. Authorities are dealing with both a brutal gang rape case in Belaon and the repeated exploitation of a nine-year-old girl in Bhabhua town, highlighting serious concerns about women's and children's safety in the region.
Gang Rape in Belaon: Swift Police Action Leads to Arrests
In the jurisdiction of the Belaon police station, a woman who was visiting her parental home from Rohtas became the victim of a horrific attack while working in agricultural fields. On Tuesday morning, as she was engaged in harvesting wheat, two men from her own village—reportedly in an intoxicated state—forcibly abducted her and took her to a secluded area where they committed gang rape.
The survivor's desperate screams alerted her mother and nearby villagers, but the attackers managed to flee the scene before they could be apprehended by the community. Following the filing of a First Information Report (FIR) by the survivor's mother, local police authorities acted with decisive speed and efficiency.
SHO Paramhans Kumar confirmed that both suspects have been arrested, have undergone mandatory medical examinations, and have been sent to judicial custody. Aniket Amar, the In-charge SDPO of Bhabhua, emphasized that the department would be pushing vigorously for a speedy trial to ensure that the accused face the maximum possible penalty under the law for their heinous crime.
Child Exploitation Case in Bhabhua: Perpetrator on the Run
A second, equally disturbing case emerged from the Town police station area in Bhabhua, where a Public Distribution System (PDS) dealer stands accused of repeatedly raping a nine-year-old girl over an extended period. The horrifying situation came to light when the young child failed to return home after going out to fetch milk, prompting immediate concern from her family.
Her mother eventually discovered the traumatized girl crying inside the dealer's locked ration warehouse, where she had been held against her will. The child revealed during subsequent questioning that the dealer had been systematically luring her with money and inappropriate mobile phone content for over a month to facilitate these criminal acts.
Even more alarmingly, the accused allegedly threatened to kill the young victim if she ever spoke out about the abuse to anyone. When the family confronted the dealer about their daughter's allegations, he reportedly mocked them and issued further threats instead of showing remorse or cooperation.
SHO Mukesh Kumar confirmed that while the young girl's medical examination has been completed as part of the investigation, the accused dealer remains at large and is currently evading authorities. Police teams are conducting extensive raids across the region in an urgent manhunt operation to secure his arrest and bring him to justice.
