The Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) suspended the constable with immediate effect. The complaint was filed by Mahesh Verma, the district president of UP Adarsh Vyapar Mandal, on the social media platform X. Verma alleged that police personnel deployed on PRV 9303 were eating ice cream and golgappe without paying the shopkeepers for the eatables.

According to police officials, the in-depth departmental investigation into the matter was handed over to the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) of Ghatampur. After the allegations were found correct in the preliminary inquiry, Constable Suresh Kumar was suspended.
