A disturbing case of sexual abuse has emerged in the Senpaschim Para area of Kanpur, where a father allegedly raped his 11-year-old daughter repeatedly over several months. The police registered a case based on the mother's complaint, arrested the accused, and sent him to judicial custody.
Incident Details
The accused, a fourth-class employee in a government department, is alleged to have assaulted his daughter over an extended period. The matter came to light when the mother took her daughter to a birthday party in Lucknow, where the child suddenly fell ill. The mother rushed the victim to a hospital, where medical examination confirmed that the child had been raped.
Mother's Complaint
The woman later filed a formal report against her husband under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Police promptly arrested the man and presented him before the court, which ordered his imprisonment.
According to the mother's statement, she had an inter-religious love marriage with the accused 12 years ago, in 2014, and they resided in the Sen Paschim Para police station area. In 2015, she gave birth to a daughter, and in 2023, to a son. She recounted that on Tuesday, she took both children to a birthday party in Lucknow, where her daughter began bleeding from her private parts. She admitted the child to a nursing home, where doctors confirmed rape. When the mother questioned her daughter, the child revealed that her father had been repeatedly raping her for several months.
Police Action
Sen Paschim Para police station in-charge Pradeep Singh confirmed that further investigation is underway and necessary legal action is being taken. The accused remains in jail as the case proceeds.
