Kanpur: Police have intensified the search for the accused in the case of indecent remarks on the daughter of former chief minister and Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav. SP Advocate Sabha’s national secretary Praveen Yadav Bunty lodged a report against Bharat Patel, Nageshwar Singh, and Vinod Kumar Yadav at the cyber police station on Thursday. A report was registered against them under sections including the IT Act and creating electronic evidence with the intent of defamation.
Of the three named accused, Bharat Kumar Patel is a resident of Pennsylvania, USA; Vinod Kumar Yadav is from Jaunpur; and the third, Nageshwar Singh, is a resident of Amroha. Vinod is an auto driver. Police Commissioner Raghubir Lal said that the Crime Branch team is gathering information about the accused. Information was sought about the accused living in America by emailing the Meta headquarters. Meanwhile, the other two accused are also being traced.
Accused Details
The three accused have been identified as Bharat Kumar Patel, a US resident; Vinod Kumar Yadav, an auto driver from Jaunpur; and Nageshwar Singh from Amroha. The police have registered a case under relevant sections of the IT Act and other laws.
Police Action
Police Commissioner Raghubir Lal stated that the Crime Branch is actively gathering information. They have contacted Meta headquarters via email to obtain details about the accused residing in America. Efforts are also underway to trace the other two accused within the country.
