In a significant development in the ongoing investigation into a kidney transplant racket, Kanpur police dispatched two specialized teams on Wednesday to Hardoi and Prayagraj. The teams are actively searching for Naveen Pandey and Shivam Yadav, who are co-accused in the case and have been absconding, evading authorities.

According to police sources, Shivam Yadav allegedly played a crucial role in supplying medicines, injections, and other essential materials required for the illegal transplant operations. The Commissionerate Police received several vital leads from three individuals currently in custody: Shivam Agarwal, Parvez Saifi, and Rohit Tiwari. Based on their disclosures, a fresh investigation was launched, focusing on the operations and connections of the absconding accused. DCP West SM Qasim Abidi stated that these individuals provided detailed information about Naveen Pandey, who allegedly arranged donors for numerous kidney patients. The donors, sourced from various cities across the region, were transported to Delhi NCR for the procedures.

Further revelations from the custody include specific roles within the racket. Rohit Tiwari provided information about Shivam Agarwal from Bilgram, Hardoi, who was responsible for bringing medicines, injections, and other surgical equipment to facilitate the illegal operations. The surgeries themselves were performed by Mudassar Ali, with Kuldeep Singh Raghav and Rajesh Tomar administering anesthesia to the patients, highlighting a well-organized and medically involved criminal enterprise.
