Kanpur Police Commissionerate Tops State in Grievance Redressal for February

The Kanpur Nagar Police Commissionerate has secured the first position in Uttar Pradesh for the Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS) monthly ranking in February. This achievement comes after all 52 police stations under the commissionerate disposed of complaints in a quality and time-bound manner, marking a significant improvement from its previous standing.

Rapid Rise from 62nd to Top Rank

Officials revealed that the commissionerate had ranked 62nd in the state in the previous month. Following this, Police Commissioner Raghubir Lal directed concerned officers to ensure transparency, quality, and prompt disposal of complaints received through the IGRS. After implementing improvements in the grievance redressal mechanism, the commissionerate surged from the 62nd position to claim the top rank in the state for February.

Key Performance Metrics Highlight Success

During February, the commissionerate demonstrated exceptional performance in key areas. The satisfied feedback percentage stood at an impressive 92.75, earning a perfect score of 30 out of 30 marks. Additionally, the percentage of contact with applicants reached 96.26, securing another perfect score of 10 out of 10 marks. These metrics underscore the effectiveness of the enhanced grievance handling processes.

Recognition and Rewards for Personnel

In light of this achievement, Police Commissioner Raghubir Lal congratulated officers and personnel, encouraging them to continue ensuring effective and timely resolution of public grievances. Officials announced that IGRS personnel from all police stations will be awarded commendation certificates at the zone level by their respective deputy commissioners of police. The IGRS in-charges of the four zones will also receive commendation certificates and cash rewards directly from the police commissioner.

Among those to be honored are Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime and Headquarters) Sankalp Sharma, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) and Assistant Nodal Officer IGRS Dinesh Tripathi, Assistant Commissioner of Police and Staff Officer Amarnath, and Assistant Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Ranjit Kumar.

Future Focus on Continuous Improvement

Officials added that the commissionerate will maintain its focus on swift and quality disposal of complaints received through both Jansunwai and the IGRS portal. This commitment aims to sustain the high standards of public service and further enhance citizen satisfaction in the region.
