Kanpur Police Parade Murder Accused with Ropes Tied

In Kanpur, police on Friday paraded three men on foot, with ropes tied to their hands, for the kidnapping and murder of a 21-year-old woman in the Barra police station area, officials said. The accused were seen apologising with folded hands during the parade.

Arrests Made in the Case

According to police, ambulance driver Vivek Patel, hospital operator Dev Kant Uttam, and his associate Surjan Singh were arrested in the case after an investigation. After collecting all necessary evidence, the police found that the woman was kidnapped and murdered by strangulation in Bulandshahr. Strict action will be taken against the accused, the police said.

Outrage Among Family Members

There was outrage among the victim's family members over the incident. The owner of Uttam Hospital in Unnao was accused of murdering the 21-year-old woman after calling her for a meeting and strangling her inside a Scorpio. They were arrested on Thursday, the police said.
