Karnataka Police and Fire Services Personnel Honored with Prestigious President's Medals
In a significant recognition of exceptional service and bravery, twenty-seven dedicated officers and personnel from Karnataka's police and fire and emergency services have been honored with the prestigious President's Medal as part of the Republic Day celebrations. The awards, announced from Bengaluru, highlight the commendable contributions of these individuals across three distinct categories: distinguished service, meritorious service, and gallantry.
President's Medal for Distinguished Service
The highest honor, the President's Medal for Distinguished Service, has been conferred upon two senior police officials. Devajyoti Ray, the Additional Director General of Police, and Rangappa T, the Assistant Commissioner of Police for the Halasur sub-division in Bengaluru City, have been recognized for their outstanding leadership and exemplary service to the force.
President's Medal for Meritorious Service
A total of twenty police officers have been awarded the President's Medal for Meritorious Service, acknowledging their consistent dedication and professional excellence. The distinguished recipients include:

President's Medal for Gallantry
In a tribute to acts of exceptional courage, three fire service personnel have been awarded the President's Medal for Gallantry. The honorees are KV Manjunath, Regional Fire Officer of the South Range; Mallikarjun, Fireman at Banasawadi Fire Station; and Hemanth Kumar D, Fireman at Bannimantapa Fire Station in Mysuru. These awards underscore the bravery and selflessness displayed by these individuals in the line of duty.
