The accused, identified as Aromal, also known as Helmet Manu, hails from Enaruvila in Ayurur and has a notorious criminal record with multiple cases pending against him.

Criminal Background and Pending Cases

Aromal is a history-sheeter with a string of serious offences registered at various police stations. Cases are pending against him at Paravoor, Paripally, and Varkala police stations, encompassing charges related to violence against women and possession of narcotics. Additionally, he is an accused in a recent stabbing incident in Varkala, where a police officer was attacked with a screwdriver following personal enmity, as confirmed by police officials.

Violation of Externment Order

Previously, Aromal had been externed under Kaapa, which barred him from entering the district for one year due to his repeated involvement in criminal activities. However, he allegedly violated this order by entering the Kovoor area under Ayiroor police station limits. During this unauthorized entry, he was involved in a fresh altercation, prompting his immediate arrest by the vigilant police force.

Legal Proceedings and Custody

Following his arrest, the accused has been remanded in judicial custody.
