Educator and YouTuber Khan Sir has alleged that rival coaching institutes orchestrated an attack outside his coaching centre in Patna. According to him, the incident occurred shortly after the declaration of the Bihar Police recruitment examination results. He stated that numerous students from his institute had qualified, and the staff were resting after a demanding day when the assailants arrived.
Details of the Incident
Khan Sir recounted, "Classes had concluded, the Bihar Police recruitment results were announced, thousands of our students qualified, and we were exhausted. Then, some anti-social elements appeared, began threatening us, and assaulted the guards." He further alleged that the attackers appeared to be linked to the coaching sector and were displeased with the low fees charged at his institute. "They seem to be associated with coaching. They are troubled by the low fees. I believe the poor also have the right to education," he added.
Investigation and Evidence
Khan Sir confirmed that the individuals involved have been identified and that CCTV footage from the coaching centre has been handed over to the authorities. "They have been identified. I should receive security, but that is up to the administration. The CCTV footage has been submitted," he said. A security guard sustained injuries during the incident and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police Response
Speaking to ANI, SP Kartikeya K Sharma stated that the police are treating the matter as a case of physical assault and have initiated the recording of statements from the injured guard and local residents. "This is a case of physical assault. It has been reported that the guard was injured. Therefore, further action is being taken by recording his statement as well as those of local people. The injured individual is currently undergoing treatment," Sharma said. Following the incident, Patna SSP, the SP, and several police teams arrived at the coaching centre and launched an investigation.
