Faisal Khan, widely recognized as 'Khan Sir', has been named in a First Information Report (FIR) in connection with the vandalism at his coaching centre in Bihar's Patna, as confirmed by police on Friday.
Incident Details
A group of 15 to 20 individuals allegedly vandalized the Khan Global Studies Institute and pelted stones at the premises on Tuesday night. The incident has sparked widespread attention and raised questions about the security of educational institutions in the area.
Police Response
Patna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kartikeya Sharma stated that the educator has been included in the FIR and will be questioned by law enforcement authorities. However, the specific charges against Khan were not disclosed at this time.
On Thursday, police detained two security guards from the coaching centre on allegations of firing shots during the vandalism. This action followed the circulation of a purported video on social media that appeared to show the guards discharging firearms.
Khan's Allegations
Shortly after the vandalism, Khan alleged that individuals from a rival coaching institute were responsible for the firing. However, he later moderated his stance, stating that only a thorough police investigation could confirm whether shots were actually fired.
Rival Institute's Counterclaims
Members of a rival coaching institute held a press conference on Thursday, countering Khan's allegations. They claimed that Khan himself had orchestrated the incident, further complicating the narrative surrounding the event.
The investigation is ongoing, and police have assured the public that all aspects of the case will be examined thoroughly to ensure justice.
