Khargone Police Arrest Job Fraud Accused, Recover Money

In a significant crackdown on employment fraud, the Mandleshwar police in Khargone district have successfully arrested an individual accused of cheating multiple people by promising them jobs. The police have also managed to recover the entire sum of money he had swindled from his victims.

Complaint and Modus Operandi

The case came to light on December 20, 2025, when a resident of Muralla village, identified as Arun, approached the Mandleshwar police station along with six others. They filed a formal complaint against Ajay Manshore, a resident of Chhoti Khargone. The victims alleged that Manshore had taken money from them after guaranteeing employment opportunities. To gain their trust, he falsely claimed to have strong connections with politicians. After collecting the funds, he disappeared, cutting off all contact.

Police Investigation and Manhunt

Acting swiftly on the complaint, the police registered a formal case against Manshore. A dedicated team was formed to track down the accused. Understanding the challenge, as Manshore was frequently changing his hideouts to evade capture, the police launched a multi-pronged effort. They conducted continuous searches and raids at all his possible locations across the region. Simultaneously, the police team activated their network of informers to gather specific intelligence on his movements.

Arrest and Recovery of Cheated Amount

The persistent efforts of the Mandleshwar police finally bore fruit. Acting on a specific tip-off received from their informants, a police team located and apprehended Ajay Manshore. Upon his arrest, a search led to the recovery of ₹2,78,400 in cash from his possession. This amount represents the total sum he had fraudulently collected from the complainants under the pretext of providing jobs.

The successful resolution of this job fraud case highlights the effectiveness of local police work and serves as a warning to those attempting to exploit the desperation of job seekers. The Khargone police have demonstrated that such crimes will be pursued rigorously, with efforts made not just to arrest the accused but also to recover the victims' hard-earned money.
