In a shocking incident that has rattled the coastal city of Kochi, a 60-year-old man stands accused of brutally murdering a sex worker at his residence before falling asleep near her body while attempting to dispose of it.
The Gruesome Discovery
Municipal sanitation workers made the horrifying discovery on Saturday morning in the Konthuruthy area, within Kochi corporation limits. The workers found K K George sleeping in a narrow lane in front of his house, with the woman's body lying nearby.
According to police reports, the women sanitation workers immediately alerted authorities upon making the grim discovery. Police promptly arrived at the scene and took George into custody. The victim, who the accused claimed was a sex worker, has not yet been identified by authorities.
Confession and Crime Details
Kochi Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Siby Tom confirmed that George has admitted to the crime during interrogation. "According to his statement, he had picked up a sex worker from the South Railway Station on Friday night," ACP Tom revealed.
The situation turned violent when an argument erupted between George and the woman over money. During the altercation, George allegedly struck the woman on the head with an iron rod, resulting in her death.
Failed Disposal Attempt
After realizing the woman was dead, George attempted to dispose of the body. Police stated that he found an empty packing sack and stuffed the body inside. However, while attempting to remove the sack from his property, George, who was reportedly intoxicated, collapsed and fell asleep near the body.
Police forensic teams have confirmed finding bloodstains at the crime scene, corroborating George's confession. The investigation continues as authorities work to identify the victim and establish the complete sequence of events.
Shocking Community Revelation
In a surprising twist that has stunned local residents, local corporation councilor Bency Benny revealed that George was known for helping elderly and indisposed people in their homes. This contrast between his community reputation and the alleged crime has left neighbors in disbelief.
At the time of the incident, George's wife was away visiting their married daughter, while his son is studying abroad. The case continues to develop as police gather additional evidence and statements.
