A formal case was registered at the Shahuwadi police station based on a complaint filed by the wife of the accused. Law enforcement officials have since arrested the man, and further investigation is currently underway to uncover all details surrounding this horrific crime.

Details of the Dispute and Fatal Argument

According to police reports, on Thursday evening, Santosh Kesarkar, who works as a daily-wage farm laborer, returned home to discover that Rs 9,000 he had stored in a bag inside a cupboard was missing. Enraged by this, he engaged in a heated argument with his wife, Sadhana Kesarkar, and his father, Dattaram Kesarkar, a retired army personnel.

After the confrontation, Santosh left the house, issuing a stern warning to his father and wife: "Whoever took the money must return it before I come back. Otherwise, I will not let anyone live." Upon his return, he found his father alone at home, as his wife and children had gone out to attend a school program.

Another argument ensued between Santosh and his father, culminating in Santosh allegedly stabbing Dattaram in the head with a sharp weapon, leading to his death.

Discovery of the Crime and Arrest

Later that night, Sadhana and the children returned home to find Dattaram lying in a pool of blood. Their screams alerted neighbors, who rushed to the scene. Santosh, who had been hiding in the house, attempted to flee but was apprehended by the neighbors and subsequently handed over to the police.
