The fatal incident, which occurred in 2018, originated from a seemingly trivial dispute over a goat in the Bombay Yojana Colony under the jurisdiction of the Udyog Nagar police station in Kota.

The victim, identified as Istiyak Hussain, also known as Guddu, suffered severe injuries to his vital organs after being assaulted with sharp weapons and sticks by the twelve accused on the night of August 31, 2018. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital but tragically succumbed to his injuries the same night.
Following a formal complaint lodged by the deceased's family, the police registered a murder case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code on September 1, 2018. A thorough investigation led to the identification of all twelve suspects, who were subsequently arrested. A chargesheet was filed in the case, though the accused were later released on bail pending trial.
Motivation Behind the Murder and Court Proceedings
Advocate Raja Jamil, representing the victim's family, clarified that the murder was directly motivated by the ongoing dispute over a goat. On the fateful night, Hussain, who was a relative of one of the parties involved, had visited the other party's residence in an attempt to mediate and negotiate a truce. Shortly after exiting the house, as he waited with two friends at a nearby shop, he was viciously attacked by the group.
The convicted individuals have been named as Ramjani (57), his wife Farjana (43), their son Mukhtar (31), Mustak (29), Mubarik Ali (26), Saddam Khan (32), Shaheen Khanam (37), Shaharukh (26), Zaheer Khan (35), Naimuddin (26), Shahadatt (30), and another Shaharukh (32).
