Kurukshetra Court Delivers Verdict in Three-Year-Old Murder Case
A district and sessions court in Kurukshetra has issued significant sentences in a murder case that dates back three years. The court sentenced two individuals to life imprisonment and imposed a four-year rigorous imprisonment term on another person involved in the crime.
Details of the Murder Incident
The case revolves around the murder of Roshan Lal, a resident of Samsapur. He was found deceased on February 15, 2023, after having gone missing for more than ten days. Roshan Lal was last seen returning home on his motorcycle from his workplace, the Heritage Grand Banquet in Mathana, when he disappeared under suspicious circumstances.
Arrests and Legal Proceedings
Following an investigation, the police arrested three suspects in connection with the murder. The arrested individuals include Rahul and Rozi, both residents of Samsapur, and Ravi, who hails from Dera Bajigar in Singhpura. The legal proceedings culminated in the recent court verdict.
Sentences and Fines Imposed
The court handed down the following sentences:
- Rahul and Rozi were each sentenced to life imprisonment. Additionally, they were fined Rs 10,000 each as part of their punishment.
- Ravi received a sentence of four years of rigorous imprisonment. He was also fined Rs 5,000 by the court.
