In a tragic incident stemming from a protracted land dispute, one youth lost his life and two others sustained injuries in Banpurwa Jangla village, located under the jurisdiction of the Aurai police station in Bhadohi district. The violent altercation occurred on Tuesday, highlighting the severe consequences of unresolved property conflicts in rural areas.

According to Bhadohi Superintendent of Police Abhimanyu Manglik, the confrontation erupted between two related families over an old land dispute concerning a specific plot in Banpurwa Jangla village. Despite the matter being sub judice in a civil court, tensions boiled over, leading to a dangerous escalation.
During the clash, Brajesh Kumar Yadav allegedly opened fire using a licensed revolver, targeting members of the opposing family. The victims were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
Casualties and Police Response
The police reported that Ashish was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital, succumbing to his injuries. The other two individuals, identified as Akhilesh and Rajnath, sustained injuries but are reported to be out of danger and recovering.
In a swift response, Aurai police personnel arrived at the scene and managed to apprehend three suspects, including the primary accused, Brajesh Kumar Yadav. The licensed revolver used in the shooting was also seized as evidence, marking a critical step in the investigation.
