The driver, identified as Yogesh Dixit, was taken into custody by police and is currently being interrogated, according to Hasanganj Station House Officer Chitwan Kumar.
Chaotic Scene in Residential Area
Eyewitnesses described a scene of chaos as the car was driven at dangerously high speeds through narrow residential lanes before the driver completely lost control. The vehicle first struck a delivery executive, violently flinging him off balance, then immediately rammed into a man carrying grocery items. The car continued its reckless trajectory, damaging several parked vehicles before finally coming to a halt. Local shopkeeper Ajay Anand, who witnessed the entire incident, recounted, "The driver was zig-zagging at a very high speed. It looked like he had no control over the vehicle whatsoever. People started shouting and running for safety as the car careened through the area."

Residents and passers-by immediately sprang into action, chasing the car and eventually overpowering the driver. Another eyewitness, Vivek Yadav, described the dramatic pursuit: "We had to run behind the vehicle for some distance before we could finally stop him. He appeared heavily intoxicated and was barely able to stand properly when we apprehended him."
Among the injured victims, Babloo Yadav provided a chilling account: "He was driving at nearly 90–100 kilometers per hour on a narrow residential stretch. My vehicle was hit from behind, and within seconds, multiple vehicles were smashed in the chaos."

The police are conducting a detailed investigation into the circumstances surrounding the dangerous driving incident.
The incident has raised serious concerns about road safety in residential areas and highlights the dangers of reckless driving.
