According to the complaint, the victim, Vishnu Yadav, aged 30, had a love marriage with Sakshi Singh, the daughter of Teerthraj Singh, approximately four years ago. The couple has a one-and-a-half-year-old daughter. Chedilal Yadav alleged that since the marriage, the in-laws were consistently unhappy and frequently subjected Vishnu to threats, abuse, assault, and even death threats, creating a hostile environment.

On March 15, Vishnu traveled from his village to Lucknow along with his wife to visit her parental home. The situation escalated tragically on the night of March 17, around 11 pm, when the family was informed by police that Vishnu had been murdered. Upon reaching Lucknow, Chedilal discovered that the body was kept in the mortuary. He later spoke to his daughter-in-law, Sakshi, who reportedly claimed that her father, mother, uncle, and sisters had jointly assaulted Vishnu inside the house, beating him to death.

Police officials confirmed that the incident occurred inside the accused's house, where Vishnu was allegedly attacked by multiple family members. Senior police officials stated that all the accused have been detained.
