Ludhiana Bridge Dispute Leads to Gunfire
A heated altercation between two car drivers over crossing Jawaddi Bridge in Ludhiana took a dangerous turn on Sunday afternoon when one of the occupants allegedly discharged a firearm in public. The incident sparked tension in the area and prompted a police investigation.
According to authorities, the argument began when two vehicles attempted to cross the bridge simultaneously, leading to a verbal exchange that quickly escalated into a physical scuffle. During the confrontation, an individual from one of the cars fired a weapon, causing panic among bystanders. The occupants of the vehicle from which the shot was fired fled the scene immediately.
The opposing party accused the suspects of using the gunfire to threaten and intimidate them. Police arrived after being alerted by passersby and secured the area. An empty cartridge was recovered from the spot, and officers are now reviewing footage from nearby CCTV cameras to identify the suspects.
A case has been registered, and investigations are ongoing. The police are urging anyone with information to come forward as they work to apprehend those responsible for the incident.
