Ludhiana Farmer Attacked in Road Rage, Shots Fired

A 30-year-old farmer was allegedly attacked by a group of men in a road rage incident in Humbran, during which one of the accused fired shots in the air with a licensed pistol. No arrests have been made so far.

Incident Details

Police registered an FIR on the complaint of Dharminder Singh of Raja Garden against Surya Pratap, his father Amit Grewal (both of Balloke, Haibowal), Inderjit Singh Brar of Pratap Singh Wala, and four unidentified aides.

The complainant said an argument broke out after he asked Pratap to remove a car blocking the street. Pratap allegedly called his aides, who assaulted him. During the incident, Brar allegedly fired in the air and fled.

Police Investigation

SHO Rajinderpal Singh said Brar used his licensed weapon. A case has been registered under BNS sections for criminal intimidation, common intention, mischief and hurt, along with provisions of the Arms Act. Police said the accused are seeking a compromise.
