Tragic Car Fire Claims Life of Ludhiana Man After Road Accident
Ludhiana: In a devastating incident that has sent shockwaves through the local community, a 38-year-old man from Chakkar village lost his life after his car overturned and burst into flames on Thursday afternoon. The Ludhiana rural police have registered a case against an unidentified driver for causing death due to negligence following the horrific accident.
Details of the Fatal Incident
The deceased has been identified as Gurpreet Singh, a resident of Chakkar village who worked at a computer shop in Jagraon. According to police reports, Gurpreet was returning home from work on Wednesday evening in a car that reportedly belonged to his employers.
While driving on the Jagraon Dalla road, Gurpreet reportedly lost control of his vehicle after another car abruptly appeared in front of him. The sudden maneuver caused him to lose balance, leading to his car rolling over and subsequently catching fire.
Failed Rescue Attempts and Investigation
Eyewitnesses and sources indicate that Gurpreet did not have an opportunity to escape the burning vehicle. Onlookers who witnessed the car engulfed in flames immediately alerted both the police and fire department. However, by the time emergency responders reached the scene, the car had sustained extensive damage and Gurpreet had suffered severe burns.
The police transported his body to a government hospital for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. Inspector Parminder Singh, SHO of City Jagraon police station, confirmed that authorities have filed a case under Section 304-A of the Indian Penal Code for causing death by negligence against the driver of the unidentified vehicle.
