Ludhiana police have successfully dismantled a prostitution racket operating from a residential home, arresting seven individuals, including a married couple. The operation was initiated following an anonymous complaint dropped into the grievance box at the Khanna senior superintendent of police's office. The tip alleged that a local house was being used as a front for human trafficking and immoral activities.
Details of the Raid
After a discreet verification process by investigators, teams raided the property and apprehended the suspects inside. All seven individuals now face multiple charges under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act. Local police officials confirmed that the house had been under surveillance prior to the crackdown to ensure a successful operation.
Investigation Underway
Investigators are currently interrogating the suspects to determine the duration of the network's operations, map out their financial transactions, and identify any external associates or additional properties linked to the ring. The police are also looking into whether the accused had any connections with other similar networks in the region.
The arrest marks a significant step in curbing illegal activities in the area. Authorities have urged the public to report any suspicious activities through official channels to help maintain law and order.
