In a shocking incident in Ludhiana, the Sidhwan Bet police have registered a case against a woman and her minor daughter for allegedly assaulting the woman's husband with a wooden churner and chilli powder during a domestic dispute.

The complainant, a resident of the area, reported that on April 27, he returned home from work around 10pm to find that his wife had moved his personal belongings from their bedroom to the kitchen. When he questioned her about the relocation, a heated argument ensued, which quickly escalated into a physical confrontation.
Nature of the Assault
According to the complaint, the wife attacked him with a traditional wooden churner, known locally as a madhani, causing him injuries. In a coordinated effort, their minor daughter threw chilli powder into his eyes, further incapacitating him and aiding the assault.
Legal Action Taken
Based on the complaint, the police have registered a criminal case under Sections 115(2) and 117(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Section 115(2) pertains to voluntarily causing hurt, while Section 117(2) deals with criminal intimidation. Investigations are ongoing, and no arrests have been made as of now.
