Madhubani District Court Implements Mandatory E-Filing ID System for Advocates

The district civil court administration in Madhubani has issued a significant directive requiring all practicing advocates to obtain an official e-filing identification number. This new digital credential has become compulsory for filing any case or application through the court's online e-filing registration portal.

Immediate Implementation for Specific Case Categories

Currently, the e-filing ID requirement has been made mandatory specifically for filing cases under the Negotiable Instruments Act (NI Act) and various miscellaneous matters. Without this digital identification, advocates will be unable to submit these categories of cases through the court's online system.

Court manager Sarfaraz Alam has made a formal appeal to all advocates, urging them to ensure they complete the mandatory e-filing registration process without delay. The administration emphasizes that this digital transition is essential for modernizing court operations.

Special Registration Drive Launched

The district court administration has initiated a comprehensive special drive to facilitate the creation of e-filing IDs for advocates. According to district court system officer Vimlesh Kumar, this registration campaign officially commenced on Monday and represents a significant step toward digital court management.

"Under this special initiative, advocates can conveniently obtain their e-filing IDs within the court premises at the library building," explained Kumar. The registration services are available at the e-seva centre located on the court campus during regular working days from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Required Documentation for Registration

To create their e-filing ID, advocates must provide several essential documents and information:

  • Valid email address
  • Active phone number
  • Official bar council certificate
  • Aadhaar card for identity verification
  • PAN card for tax identification
  • Bank passbook or any other government-issued photo identity proof

Future Expansion of Digital Requirements

The district court administration has revealed that this e-filing ID system represents just the beginning of a broader digital transformation. In the coming days and weeks, the e-filing registration ID will become mandatory for paperless functioning across additional categories of cases beyond the current NI Act and miscellaneous matters.

This progressive move toward digital court operations aims to streamline legal processes, reduce paperwork, and enhance efficiency within the Madhubani district judicial system. Once registered, advocates will gain the ability to independently submit online applications directly to the court through the digital portal.
