Madhubani Administration Takes Firm Stand Against Road Blockades

The district administration in Madhubani has issued a strong warning to individuals and groups responsible for frequent road blockades, declaring that such disruptions will no longer be tolerated. Strict legal action will be taken against those involved in these activities, as announced in a recent press statement.

Public Inconvenience and Safety Risks Highlighted

District Magistrate Anand Sharma, in a press statement released on Thursday evening, emphasized that road blockades do not resolve grievances but instead cause severe inconvenience to the public and disrupt law and order. He pointed out that vulnerable groups, including patients, the elderly, pregnant women, schoolchildren, students heading for exams, office-goers, and daily wage workers, are often stranded for hours due to these blockades.

In several instances, ambulances and fire engines have been unable to pass through blocked roads, posing serious risks to life and property. Sharma stressed that such actions endanger public safety and hinder emergency services.

Advanced Technology Used for Identification

The administration is now leveraging advanced technology, including CCTV footage, to identify those orchestrating or participating in road blockades. According to the press statement, FIRs have already been registered against 10 identified individuals involved in recent incidents, and arrests have been made. The administration has warned that others found responsible will face stringent legal action.

Call for Peaceful Resolution

District Magistrate Sharma urged the public to maintain peace and restraint, emphasizing that blocking roads over accidents, grievances, or demands is a punishable offence. He reiterated that the administration is committed to resolving public issues, but only through peaceful and legal means. The administration encourages citizens to use official channels for addressing concerns rather than resorting to disruptive protests.

This crackdown aims to ensure smoother traffic flow and enhance public safety in Madhubani, with the administration taking a proactive stance against unlawful disruptions.
