Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule has issued strict directives to law enforcement agencies for conducting a swift and sensitive investigation into the alleged sexual abuse of minor girls in Maharashtra. The minister emphasized that no accused individual would be permitted to evade legal consequences under any circumstances.
Minister's Review Meeting with Police Officials
Following a comprehensive review session held at the office of Amravati Superintendent of Police Vishal Anand, Minister Bawankule sought detailed briefings from Commissioner of Police Rakesh Ola regarding the ongoing investigations. The minister specifically instructed officials to ensure the inquiry process is conducted with what he described as "utmost seriousness, sensitivity and precision" to deliver justice to the victims and their families.
Forensic and Digital Investigation Tools Deployed
Bawankule confirmed that the investigation is being conducted with serious intent using advanced forensic and digital tools to gather conclusive evidence. The minister made a clear statement that political commentary and speculation should be completely avoided until the final investigation report becomes available to prevent any interference with the judicial process.
Chief Minister's Close Monitoring of Cases
The revenue minister further revealed that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is personally and closely monitoring developments in these cases, including a separate investigation involving a corporate entity in Nashik. Bawankule stressed that speculation should be strictly avoided until all findings are properly finalized and officially presented.
Police Directed to Trace Absconding Suspects
Police authorities have received explicit instructions to trace all absconding suspects quickly and take strict legal action against them without delay. The minister emphasized complete accountability throughout the investigation process, stating that law enforcement agencies must identify and prosecute all individuals involved in these serious offenses.
Minister Bawankule's directives come as part of the state government's commitment to ensuring justice for victims of sexual abuse, particularly when minors are involved. The emphasis on avoiding political commentary until investigation completion reflects an approach focused on maintaining the integrity of the judicial process while addressing these sensitive cases with the seriousness they demand.
