Thiruvananthapuram: In the first major reshuffle of IPS officers after the UDF government assumed office, 30 IPS officers were transferred, with those in key posts being replaced.
Key Appointments at ADGP Level
S Sreejith, who was serving as ADGP (HQ), was appointed ADGP (prisons). Balram Kumar Upadhyay, DG (prisons), was posted as ADGP (armed police battalions). ADGP (law and order) H Venkatesh was made ADGP (CB), while ADGP Dinendra Kashyap moved from armed police battalions to head the intelligence wing. ADGP (intelligence) P Vijayan was posted as ADGP (law and order) and also given full additional charge of ADGP (cyber operations).
IG Level Transfers
IG (traffic) Harshita Attaluri was made IG (HQ). IG S Syamsundar, who was heading intelligence, was posted as IG (CB). IG R Nishanthini was shifted from HQ to intelligence.
DIG and Commissioner Changes
At the DIG level, Yathish Chandra G H was transferred from Kannur to Ernakulam. Thiruvananthapuram commissioner K Karthick was posted as DIG (Thrissur), while DIG Narayanan T moved from Thrissur to Kannur. DIG (Ernakulam) Arul R B Krishna was appointed as Thiruvananthapuram city commissioner.
Commissioner Merin Joseph was shifted from Kozhikode City and made the district police chief of Kozhikode Rural. Alappuzha CB SP Shoukathali A P was made Kozhikode city commissioner.
District Police Chief Appointments
KSEB's chief vigilance officer Prasanthan Kani B K was made the district police chief of Thiruvananthapuram Rural. SP Sabu Mathew K M was transferred from Idukki to Kottayam as the district police chief, while Shaji Sugunan moved from Kerala Women’s Commission as the district police chief of Kollam Rural. SP Vishnu Pratheep T K was posted as the district police chief of Alappuzha and SP Abdul Rashi A was appointed the district police chief of Palakkad. S Deva Manohar, additional excise commissioner (enforcement), was made the district police chief of Wayanad.
B Krishna Kumar was posted as SP (railways) while Kannur city commissioner SP Nidhinraj P was made the district police chief of Kasaragod. SP B V Vijaya Bharath Reddy was made Kannur city commissioner. Anuj Paliwal was appointed AIG (law and order), police headquarters, in the newly-created ex-cadre post, while Farash T was posted as AIG (Ernakulam Coastal Police).
District police chief of Alappuzha Mohanachandran Nair M P was made CB SP (Kozhikode-Wayanad). Mohammad Nadeemuddin was appointed as the district police chief of Thrissur Rural, while Umesh Goyal was posted as the district police chief of Kannur Rural. Nasim A was made the district police chief of Idukki while C S Shahul Hameed was posted as SP (Central Unit-I) CB in Thiruvananthapuram.
