The bodies of Sarojini, aged 30, and Akhilesh Kumar, aged 18, were spotted around 4 am by farmers heading to their fields. The farmers immediately alerted the police, who dispatched a team to the scene. The police brought the bodies down and sent them for a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.

Police stated that both individuals had attended a local religious event in the village on Friday evening. After the event, they visited the Sheetla Mata temple and returned home around 8 pm. The bodies were found hanging from a tree located about 400 metres from their house within the village. Sarojini was married to Pushpendra, who works at a brick kiln in Bikaner, Rajasthan, and the couple has two children.
