A 28-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in northeast Delhi, police said on Friday.
Details of the Case
According to the police, the girl recently reported that she was assaulted over several months. The survivor and the accused knew each other for about a year, having met when she and the man's sister lived as tenants in the same building.
A police officer stated that the girl lived in the building with her mother, and the man frequently visited his sister during that period. The girl later moved out from that house, the officer added.
Allegations of Blackmail and Harassment
In her statement to the police, the complainant alleged that the man filmed objectionable videos of her, used the footage to blackmail her, and repeatedly sent her unsolicited messages on social media platforms. Police said the claims are being verified.

Legal Action Taken
