In a tragic incident, the Hisar police have arrested a man accused of beating a 45-year-old individual to death during a violent drunken altercation at a night shelter near Madhuban Park. The arrest was made swiftly, highlighting the police's prompt response to the crime.

PSI Karamjeet, the in-charge of the Civil Lines police station, identified the accused as Krishna, son of Shamsher Singh, a native of Almora in Uttarakhand. Krishna was produced before a local court on Thursday and has been remanded to judicial custody. According to police reports, he had been living in Hisar for approximately 15 years and is unmarried.

The deceased, Balkar, was a resident of Jind district and had been staying at the night shelter, which is set up by the Municipal Corporation. The fatal incident occurred late Tuesday night when an argument broke out among three to four men who were consuming alcohol at the shelter.
The dispute escalated into violence, leading to Balkar being allegedly struck forcefully in the chest. He reportedly began bleeding from the nose and died shortly afterwards. Other occupants of the shelter found him lying unconscious the next morning and immediately alerted the police.
