A resident of Shyampukur has been arrested for allegedly molesting two women at Bidhannagar station on Saturday night, police said.

According to a complaint filed by a 24-year-old woman, she was walking along platform 3 when the man approached her, behaved inappropriately, and molested her. Shortly afterward, another woman, aged 23 and a resident of Baguiati, was also allegedly targeted by the same man at the station.
Threats and Arrest
When the women protested against his actions, the man allegedly continued his misconduct and issued threats. Police acted swiftly on the complaints and arrested the accused. The identity of the accused has not been disclosed pending further investigation.
The incident has raised concerns about women's safety at railway stations in Kolkata. Authorities have assured that strict action will be taken against the offender.
