MEERUT: A 25-year-old man has been arrested in Delhi for allegedly uploading a social media video that police say could potentially hurt religious sentiments and disturb communal harmony. According to law enforcement officials, the video, which was circulated online on June 2, depicted a young man carrying a knife while moving around in a public area. The clip's tagline and accompanying audio allegedly contained objectionable and provocative remarks.
Investigation and Arrest
Police stated that they launched an investigation after taking serious note of the matter. During the probe, the individual seen in the video was identified as Aman, a 25-year-old resident of the Hari Nagar locality. A case was registered against him under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). He was arrested on Tuesday night near Bhoomiya Pul, officials added. Authorities also recovered the knife that was allegedly used in the video.
