Eric Pierwsza, 48, was arrested by police following the destruction of the family residence on Martin Road. According to authorities, the incident began when Pierwsza's wife informed him that their marriage was over, as the couple had recently separated.

Local police and a criminal complaint detail that Pierwsza arrived at the house after drinking throughout the night. Shortly after his arrival, an argument ensued between him and his wife. During the altercation, the wife reiterated that the marriage was over. In response, Pierwsza allegedly stated, "If it's over, I'll tear the house down."

Investigators stated that the damage posed an immediate threat to the family, as large sections of the building were severely compromised.
