Man Climbs Telecom Tower with Wife and Child in Madhya Pradesh

In a dramatic incident in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar district on Thursday, a man climbed a telecom tower along with his wife and their two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, leading to a six-hour-long rescue operation involving police, district officials, and the Indian Army.

The incident occurred on a hillock behind Peeli Kothi in the Cantt police station area. Balram Ahirwar, along with his wife Krishnadevi and their toddler, ascended the tower around 1:30 pm. Upon receiving information, police and district administration teams rushed to the spot, while a large crowd gathered nearby.

As repeated attempts to persuade the family to come down failed, authorities called in the Army and arranged safety nets around the base of the tower as a precautionary measure. Officials later sent Balram's brother up the tower to speak with him. Following discussions, the family safely descended around 7:30 pm, after spending nearly six hours atop the structure.

Allegations of Police Harassment

According to relatives, Balram alleged that the police had implicated him in a case and assaulted him. Family members claimed he was upset over the alleged police action and had demanded that the station in-charge of Motinagar police station be called to the spot before he agreed to come down. Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the incident.

This incident highlights the extreme measures individuals may resort to when they feel wronged by authorities. The rescue operation was conducted smoothly without any injuries, and the family is now safe.
