Man Dies in Jaipur Hospital After Imam Sets Him on Fire in Tonk Mosque

Locals rescued the victim in a critical condition and informed the police. Diggi Station House Officer Gopal Chaudhary promptly reached the spot, and the injured man was rushed to Malpura hospital. As his condition deteriorated, he was referred to Jaipur for advanced medical care, where he succumbed to his injuries early Friday morning.

Tonk Superintendent of Police Rajesh Kumar Meena stated that initial investigations have revealed a verbal altercation between the Imam and Pinjara on Wednesday night, which may have led to the attack. "After pouring petrol, the accused fled on a bike but was detained by the police and is being interrogated," Meena said. He added that the Imam would be formally arrested after questioning.
