Man dies by suicide after family quarrel in Thane

A 30-year-old man allegedly died by suicide following a quarrel with his family at his residence in Thane's Dombivli area, police reported on Sunday. The tragic incident occurred around 12:30 am on Saturday at a chawl in Hetutne village.

Incident Details

The deceased has been identified as Rajaram Ramdularam Bharti. According to police, Bharti had an argument with his family members. After the dispute, he allegedly locked his wife and children inside a bedroom and then hanged himself from the ceiling in the kitchen.

Hearing the family's cries for help, neighbors rushed to the scene. They broke open the locked room and rescued the woman and children. Subsequently, they discovered Bharti hanging and immediately transported him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

Police Investigation
