Man Dies by Suicide at JP Hospital Campus in Bhopal

A 48-year-old man allegedly died by suicide at the residential campus of JP Hospital in Bhopal on Friday morning. No suicide note was recovered from the spot, police said.

Incident Details

According to police, Jitendra Paswan, 48, resided in the JP Hospital residential area and worked as a security guard. He had reportedly resigned from his job approximately 15 days ago. His wife, Seema, serves as an Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) posted at a health centre in Rehti.

Police stated that Jitendra was alone at home on Friday morning while his wife and daughter were away. During this period, he allegedly hanged himself.

Discovery and Medical Response

The incident came to light when Jitendra’s brother-in-law repeatedly attempted to contact him via phone. After receiving no response, he visited Jitendra’s residence and found him hanging. He immediately brought him down and rushed him to JP Hospital, where doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

Investigation

Police registered a case and sent the body for post-mortem examination. The body was later handed over to the family. Police confirmed that no suicide note was found, and the reason behind the extreme step remains unclear. Notably, Friday was the birthday of Jitendra’s daughter. Further investigation is underway.
