A tragic incident has unfolded in Gorakhpur, where a 29-year-old man allegedly died by suicide just three days after his marriage. The deceased, identified as Rudranath Jaiswal, also known as Minshu, reportedly consumed a poisonous substance late Tuesday night.
Incident Details
According to family members, Jaiswal was pacing on the terrace when his mother noticed him. He told her that he had ingested poison and pleaded to be saved. Family members immediately rushed him to a hospital, where he died during treatment.
Background of the Deceased
Jaiswal, who helped his father run the family eatery, married a woman from Nautanwa, Maharajganj on Saturday. She reached her marital home on Sunday as post-wedding rituals continued.
Police Investigation
Police have stated that the reason behind the alleged suicide is yet to be ascertained. “The body has been sent for post-mortem examination and further investigation is underway,” said Ravi Singh, Circle Officer, Gorakhnath.
The incident has left the family and community in shock, as celebrations turned into grief. Authorities are probing the circumstances leading to the tragedy.
