A tragic accident occurred on Monday morning near Usrahar on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Etawah, resulting in the death of a man and injuries to two others. The three friends were returning home to Jalandhar after a trip to Nepal.
Details of the Accident
The incident took place around 7:30 am near Hardu village on the expressway. The victims, residents of Punjab and Haryana, lost control of their car, which collided with the divider. The UPEIDA team promptly arrived at the scene and initiated rescue operations.
Medical Response
The injured were rushed to Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences, Saifai, where doctors declared 39-year-old Saurabh, son of Satish Kumar from Gurugram, dead. The driver, 37-year-old Rahul, son of Sikandar Nath Sharma from Jalandhar, and 42-year-old Vishal, son of Yashpal from Jalandhar, are undergoing treatment and are reported to be in critical condition.
Statements from Officials
UPEIDA Safety Officer Manohar Singh confirmed that the injured were immediately taken to the hospital. The damaged car was removed with a crane and sent to Chaubiya police station. Vishal's brother, Vikas, stated that the three friends were returning from Nepal. The deceased, Saurabh, was the only son of his father. Police have informed the families and are taking further necessary action.
