MUMBAI: An FIR is being registered against a motorist after he allegedly hit a petrol pump staffer with his car, dragged him for a short distance, and then collided with other vehicles at a petrol pump in Borivali East late Sunday. The Kasturba Marg police have detained the accused and sent him for a medical examination.
Altercation Over Job Termination
According to police, the motorist had an altercation with the supervisor at the petrol pump over the firing of his brother from his job at the pump last month. The two argued, after which the motorist attempted to run over the supervisor with his car. The supervisor held onto the bonnet of the vehicle and was dragged for a short distance. The motorist also rammed into other vehicles at the pump.
The Kasturba Marg police were informed and took the accused into custody. Officials are in the process of registering an FIR against him. The medical examination will determine whether he was under the influence of alcohol.

The accused works at an automobile showroom, and the car used in the incident belongs to him.
