Bhojpur Man Found Dead Under Suspicious Circumstances After Neighbour's Party
The body of a 40-year-old man, identified as Ram Prasad, was discovered under suspicious circumstances near a neighbour's house in Ijri Pipra village, located under the Dhobahan police station area in Bhojpur district, on Monday morning. The incident has sparked allegations of foul play from the family, who claim Prasad was killed after attending a party at the neighbour's residence on Sunday night.
Family Alleges Foul Play in Death
According to family members, Ram Prasad had gone to attend a party at the house of his neighbour, Anil Thakur, around 9 pm on Sunday. When relatives asked him to return home, he reportedly stated he was resting after the meal. Anil Thakur and his wife assured the family, suggesting Prasad could sleep at their house for the night. However, in a shocking turn of events, Prasad's body was found a few metres away from his home on Monday morning.
Munna Prasad, the deceased's brother, expressed deep suspicion over the death. "My brother was strangled by someone after the party as his body bore injury marks," he alleged, pointing to visible signs of trauma on the body. The family has raised concerns about potential foul play, given the abrupt and unexplained nature of the death following the social gathering.
Police Investigation Underway
Upon receiving information about the incident, Dhobahan Station House Officer (SHO) Varsha Rani, along with other police personnel, swiftly arrived at the scene. The police have taken immediate action by detaining two individuals for questioning in connection with the case. "Two persons were taken into custody and their interrogation is going on," confirmed SHO Varsha Rani.
The body of Ram Prasad was subsequently sent to Sadar Hospital in Ara for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. The police have emphasized that the precise details surrounding the death will only be clarified after the autopsy report is received.
