Man Found Hanging in Auraiya, Family Alleges Murder

Kanpur: A 24-year-old man was discovered hanging from a neem tree on Wednesday morning in Purwa Madhosingh Adda village, located under the Dibiyapur police station area of Auraiya district, according to police reports. The deceased, identified as a labourer, had been living on rent in Dibiyapur with his second wife.

Family members have alleged that he was murdered and his body was subsequently hung on the tree to make it appear as a suicide. The victim's father informed authorities that his son had remarried approximately one year ago to a woman from a village in the Aligarh area. The father claimed that the deceased had been under significant stress due to ongoing marital discord with his second wife. He also revealed that the victim had a four-year-old child from his first wife.

Upon receiving information, Crime Inspector Sher Singh and Harchandpur outpost in-charge Jay Singh arrived at the scene. The body was sent for post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. Sher Singh stated, “No written complaint has been received from the family so far. Prima facie, it appears to be a case of suicide due to stress arising from family reasons.” He added that further legal action will be taken after the autopsy report is received.
