A 35-year-old man was killed after a speeding SUV allegedly ran him over in the Rajouri Garden area of West Delhi on Saturday night. The victim, identified as Uday Mahato, a resident of Khyala, was standing by the roadside with a friend when the incident occurred, police said on Sunday.
Accident Details and Eyewitness Account
According to police, the SUV struck Mahato with significant force, while his companion narrowly escaped injury. An eyewitness at the scene informed the authorities that the driver of the vehicle did not stop after the collision and fled the location. Mahato's friend immediately alerted his family and rushed him to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead upon arrival.
