Four-Day Ordeal for Minor Ends with Arrest of Brother-in-Law

Police in Nuh have arrested a 35-year-old man for the alleged gang rape of his 15-year-old sister-in-law, a crime in which several of his relatives are also implicated. The horrific incident, which spanned four days, began with the girl's abduction from outside her home in the early hours of October 31 and ended when she was dumped near her village on the night of November 3.

Abduction and a Frantic Search

According to the complaint filed by the victim's brother at the Sadar police station in Ferozepur Jhirka on November 5, the minor was kidnapped around 3:30 am. The brother discovered the main gate of their house open and immediately raised an alarm. During the subsequent search, neighbours provided a crucial lead.

They reported seeing two vehicles, including a white Bolero car, leaving the area shortly before the girl was found missing. "Our neighbour told us that two vehicles had left the area an hour ago. One was a white Bolero and the second could not be identified due to darkness," the brother stated in his police complaint.

A Traumatic Captivity Revealed

During investigation, the minor victim narrated her harrowing experience. She revealed that she had stepped out to relieve herself when the main accused, along with three associates, forced her into a vehicle. They threatened her with dire consequences if she screamed.

For the next four days, the accused kept moving between villages to evade detection. The victim was subjected to repeated sexual assault by the group over several hours. The ordeal only ended when the perpetrators abandoned her on the outskirts of her own village.

Family Ties and Police Action

Investigations uncovered a disturbing abuse of trust. The arrested prime accused is the son-in-law of the girl's uncle and is himself a father of four children. Police stated that he frequently visited the minor's house due to existing family relations. The other accused individuals are also relatives, residing in two nearby villages.

A Nuh police spokesperson confirmed that the arrested accused is undergoing interrogation and further revelations are expected. "Efforts are underway to nab the remaining suspects involved in the crime," the spokesperson said, assuring that justice will be served and all accused will face the full extent of the law.

The case has been registered under multiple stringent sections of the law, including:

  • Sections 137 (kidnapping), 3(5) (crime by multiple persons), 351(3) (criminal intimidation), 70(2) (gang rape), and 96 (procuration of a child) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
  • Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for Aggravated Penetrative Sexual Assault.

The police's swift action in making the first arrest has brought a measure of hope for the victim's family, who await the apprehension of all involved in this heinous crime.
