A 25-year-old man was stabbed to death in the Shahbad Dairy area of Delhi late Tuesday night following a personal dispute. The victim has been identified as Ravi, a resident of the same locality. According to police, the incident occurred around 11:30 pm when Ravi got into an argument with two men, identified as Sonu and Monu, over a trivial matter. The argument escalated quickly, and Sonu allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed Ravi multiple times in the chest and abdomen.
Police Response and Arrest
Upon receiving a call about the incident, a police team rushed to the spot and found Ravi lying in a pool of blood. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. Senior police officials, including the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer North), reached the scene to oversee the investigation. Based on the statements of eyewitnesses and CCTV footage from the area, the police arrested Sonu, the main accused, within hours of the incident. Monu, however, managed to escape and is currently absconding. Efforts are underway to nab him.
Investigation Underway
The police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including murder, and have launched a thorough investigation. The knife used in the crime has been recovered from the spot. The body has been sent for post-mortem, and the report is awaited.
