A 30-year-old man was fatally stabbed near Puna Lake in Surat on Thursday evening, leading to a murder investigation by the Surat police. The victim, identified as Karan Vaghela, was reportedly from Palitana and had come to Surat to meet his lover, according to preliminary inquiries.
Attack Details
Police suspect that two to three unidentified individuals approached Vaghela near the lake and attacked him with sharp weapons. The motive behind the killing remains unclear at this stage.

Puna police inspector C B Chaudhary stated, We are investigating whether anyone was accompanying him at the time of the incident. CCTV footage from the area is being analysed and efforts are on to identify the accused. The police are examining surveillance footage and gathering evidence to trace the suspects.
