Man stabs mother, jumps to death from fifth floor in Greater Noida

A 21-year-old man allegedly jumped to his death from the fifth floor of a building in Greater Noida's Bishrakh police station limits on Saturday, police said. The deceased, identified as Sagar Yadav, was reportedly mentally unstable and had stabbed his mother during an altercation before taking the extreme step.

Incident Details

According to the Bishrakh police station personnel, Yadav, a resident of Radha Sky Garden Society, lived with his parents and younger brother. On Saturday, an argument broke out between him and his mother, during which he allegedly injured her with a knife. Subsequently, he jumped from the fifth-floor flat.

Police officials stated that family members reported Yadav was not mentally sound. After the incident, he was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead. His mother is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital.

The body has been sent for postmortem after the completion of legal formalities. Further investigation is underway, police added. No other details have been released at this time.
