In a disturbing incident of alleged domestic violence, a man in Visakhapatnam reportedly set fire to a woman's two-wheeler and her residence after she refused to communicate with him. The event occurred in the Duvvada locality during the early hours of Monday, sending shockwaves through the community.
Accused Identified as Sai Krishna
The accused has been identified as Sai Krishna, a native of Rambilli in Anakapalle district. According to police reports, Sai Krishna was previously in a relationship with the victim, who is a widow. Their relationship had soured significantly, leading to a major dispute in September 2025.
Following this dispute, a formal case was registered against Sai Krishna, resulting in his incarceration. After serving his sentence and being released from jail, he allegedly made persistent attempts to re-establish contact with the woman.
Escalation to Arson

The flames quickly spread from the scooter to the house, creating a hazardous situation. Fortunately, the woman managed to wake up and escape the burning premises unharmed. She immediately alerted the fire service personnel, who rushed to the spot and successfully extinguished the fire, preventing further damage.
Police Response and Investigation
