The deceased have been identified as Darshan, 29, and Divyashree, 25, residents of Hosakote village who were residing in a rented house in the Jayanagar Extension area of KR Pete taluk. The couple had been married for three years, with Darshan working as a car driver and also involved in agricultural activities, while Divyashree was employed as a paramedic.
According to the KR Pete Town police, the incident occurred early on Monday. It is suspected that a minor argument escalated between the couple inside their home, leading to a devastating outcome. Divyashree allegedly took the extreme step of ending her life by hanging first. Upon discovering his wife's body, Darshan is believed to have attempted to kill their two-year-old daughter by strangulation, causing the child to lose consciousness.
